HPV vs. Folliculitis

Hello, I went to a doctor today and he said I had folliculitis as opposed to  genital wart.  Are these two things aften confused? I still have doubts, are they unfounded?

haha, well... I am a bit of a worrier, that was the third opinion! 2 said folliculitis and one said disturbed hair follicle, same thing.  so 3 strikes against HPV.  I just want the dang thing to go away, it been there for months and keeps coming back! Thanks empathy, you helped me a ton!

Ah, this answers my last question as to what the doctor said it was.  Folliculitis is not HPV, and I doubt a trained medical doctor would confuse these two conditions.  If you really don't trust your doctor that much, you can seek a second opinion.
