My pap just revealed I have the most aggressive high risk HPV 16, 18, 31, 33, 35, and 39. Online it says 33, 35, 39 do not cause warts but genital cancer. And that 16, 18 and 31 cause cancer and anal lesions and that 16 can also cause lesions in the mouth or vulva. They all cause cervical lesions and cancer. I have a lesion on my anus. I've only had anal sex with two ppl- both long term partners. One was in 2008. One was from summer 2010 - recently. I'm not sure when the anal lesion appeared because I thought it was hemorrhoidal. But recently, I had what looked like a crater on my front lower gum. It stung and a few tiny bumps also appeared on the inside of my lower lip. It all disappeared after ten days. Was this a HPV 16 lesion? If it were, would that mean my current partner gave it to me? How likely is it that all these strains can be healed by my immune system? I had normal paps in 2009 and 2011. How likely is it that my ex from 2008 was the carrier v my current partner? From what I've read, if my partner in 2008 gave it to me, the prognosis is bad. If it was my current partner, I have a chance to heal myself. Can you give me the facts please. Thank you.
