High risk hpv, leep procedure, ability to become pregnant?

I have high risk hpv. I don't know which strain I have. How do you find out the strain? When I asked about it, they told me it wasn't possible to determine which strain you had. I was told about 2 years ago that I have cell dysplasia caused by a strain of high risk hpv. About a year ago or so, I was told I would need to have a leep done. I was so nervous I would not be able to have children ever. Right before I was to have the leep done, I started seeing a new doctor who informed me that the guidelines for treating hpv had changed. He said they had been overtreating hpv with leeps and whatnot and recent studies had shown most strains resolve on their own. I have been having paps and colpos/biopsies done every six months. My last one showed signs of improvement. It's time again for my next colpo and I'm worried it will have worsened as I've been under so much stress the past 3 months. I meant to quit smoking (smoking= dumb I know, esp with hpv) but never did. I am actually quitting this Sunday.
These are my questions:
Has anyone here ever had a leep performed and was able to become pregnant and have children? I think I will end up needing a leep because it's been so long and the virus is still active.
What else is everyone doing to clear their hpv? All I am using is exercise and vitamins.
I just want to have like 2 children and if the hpv becomes active again, I wouldn't care about a hysterectomy even. I just want to have kids.
Btw, my last biopsy was unusually very painful. She was a new doctor and I think she messed up while collecting cell samples. I did not have my cycle for FIVE months! Has this happened to anyone else?

The Valacore is a product of Applied Research.  I've only been taking it a week but I figure it isn't going to hurt me.  One of the main ingredients is curcumin which is highly recommended in both of the anticancer nutritional books I've been reading.   I am taking several vitamin & herbal formulas (antioxidant, nerve support, menopause formula) from a company called Flourish Wellness.  Those are only available on the internet and the company only sells about 12 items.  They are all very high quality.  I started taking their NeuroBetic supplement after a doctor damaged one of my facial nerves which left half of my upper lip numb, tingling, burning, and not working right.  Another doctor suggested this NeuroBetic product that is made for diabetic neuropathy.  (I don't have diabetes.) It made an amazing difference after about 10 days of taking it.  My lip was feeling normal again so when I ran out of that bottle I just didn't order any more figuring I was cured.  I was wrong!  Within a few days that miserable numb, burning, can't control my grin, feeling came back.  I went back on the stuff and was right back to normal . . . or my new normal.  Another thing I have learned is that broccoli has some amazing anticancer compound in it so I try to make that part of every single day.  Why couldn't it have been apples or chocolate ice cream??? Sugar is inflammatory so I try to stay away from it.  The sugar substitutes are questionable too of course so I use stevia extract from the health food store and have also tried to just get use to drinking unsweetened iced tea.  Anything that revs up your metabolism is risky but I still have a cup of coffee in the morning but only one.  Berries and dark green veggies are excellent apparently.  I'm trying to make these a part of every single day and have started using a "to go" packet called "Berry Crush" and another called "Go Greens"  that I also get at the health food store.  You just dump them into 8 oz of water and get the equivalent of 3 servings of fruits and vegetables.  They have such unappetizing things as kale, spinach and brussel sprouts in them.  They aren't delicious but they aren't bad either.  Those are sold at The Vitamin Shoppe, GNC and Meijers . . .among others.  The website is togobrands.com. I need to start taking probiotics.  I am seeing an NIH researcher that is a gynecologic oncologist on Wednesday.  I'm scared to death.  I am hoping and praying that you get to a good doctor who will take care of you and take care of your fertility.  I think of you often and hope you are well.  Good luck AmandaRene!

I got your message and responded.  I hope you got it.  I sent it from my cellphone in a rural area so wasn't sure if it went through or not.  I REALLY appreciated your information.  I got the idea about the vaccine from reading a book on cancer management through nutrition.  The 2 books I got have given me a lot of useful information.  I'm not sure which one I got that from but here are the titles:  "Natural Strategies for Cancer Patients" by Russell Blaylock, MD; and "Anticancer:  A New Way of Life" by David Servan-Schreiber, MD, PhD.  One of the other things that Servan-Schreiber talked about was cell phones.  I have been racking my brain trying to figure why this has taken hold when I'm such a health nut and take good care of myself and there is NO cancer on either side of my family. . . . . and this morning I'm driving home from my 5a.m. workout and BAM it hits me that here I sit AGAIN with that cell phone crammed between my legs, right against my pubic bone, because of course I keep it on vibrate so I don't have to worry about missing a call from listening to the radio or road noise.  Wow!  The information he gave about how its worse when you are driving at high speeds (that would be about 1-4 hours of every single day of my life) because the phone is sending out a really strong signal to keep up with the moving cell phone towers.  Maybe I'm crazy but I think that in addition to having HPV I have been frying my cervix with radiowaves!!!  Do I sound nuts???  I'll send another post to cover the vitamins.  Nice knowing you're out there.  I hate that biopsy story.  I'm so sorry it happened to you!!!!

Btw, I am really interested in what you mentioned about getting a vaccine! It makes sense too. Because the whole reason you get a vaccine is to jump-start your immune system against whichever condition the vaccine is supposed to prevent. That should definitely help with our hpv. Is this something you found during research or something you thought of? Because it seems like a excellent idea. I am so curious about this. I am also due for my tetanus but do you think the hpv vaccine would do the same thing in jump-starting the immune system? I was already curious about the hpv vaccine to protect against other strains that I don't have. I actually don't know much about the vaccine just yet. Are we even able to get the hpv vaccine with an already existing hpv infection? Do you think the flu vaccine would also have the same effect? It is about that time of year now and a flu vaccination should be really easy to get a hold of.

How funny, I do believe I just sent you an email yesterday :)

Thank you for your reply! :) What other vitamins are you using? I was glad when I recently found some of the vitamins suggested for hpv I have already been taking for quite some time for conditions not related to hpv. Here is a list of what I take:
multi-vitamin daily
Vitamin C daily
Zinc daily
B-12 daily
Biotine daily
Folic acid daily
Echinacea 3x daily
Cranberry 3x daily
Garlic 3x daily
Flaxseed 3x daily
Probiotic 3x daily

I have been looking for a vitamin supplement specifically designed for hpv. The have a lot of stuff on the internet and it's hard to decipher from scams and actual vitamins/supplements. How long have you been taking Valacore? Do you have a web address with more info? I have read a lot about a vitamin complex for hpv called Beta-mannin. A lot of people on forums have claimed it to work for them. However, I think the people who produced the product got in trouble with the FDA because I can't find any info on where to actually purchase the stuff. It was something about how the maker of the product was selling vitamins as treatment for hpv, but if you claim it to be a treatment, then you need an FDA approval and license which the maker of the product did not have.

As for my last biopsy. I have had quite a few biopsies and never before experienced one so painful! That was actually the worst physical pain I've ever felt in my life! The new doctor had an experienced physician helping her during my colpo but he left the room right before she started on my biopsy. The first biopsy she took was fine. It was the second that was so painful. I actually pulled away from her. Then she handed the blood-covered tool to her assistant who looked at it and said "Nope, you didn't get it." Omg! So she went back in for another try. I was so nervous it would be that awful pain again but there was no pain with the next biopsy. I was totally EXHAUSTED afterward.

I have recently moved and it looks like I will not be able to have my next colpo for at least a couple months. Right now I am in the process of getting a hold of my medical records so I can continue treatment in my new area. I have an appointment on the 13th so they can go over my records and get me started on the colpo route.

Hi!  I haven't had a LEEP . . . yet . . . . but I've researched a lot and will tell you what I've found:
1.  LEEP will not prevent you from having children.  In fact, NOT having a LEEP or some other appropriate procedure to remove the diseased tissue could cause you to end up with full blown cervical cancer and a hysterectomy which certainly will keep you from having children.  I have a friend who had warts removed from her cervix before the LEEP was developed.  I think they used cryosurgery on her.  During the years since, she has had 4 children all of whom she delivered vaginally.  She had to be confined to bed for the last 3 pregnancies and also had to have her cervix wrapped to keep it from opening too early.  Her children are healthy and so is she.  So, it can be done.  Apparently there is a new cervical cancer treatment for women who still want to have children and whose cancer is only in their cervix.  It involves removing only the cervix.  There are risks of not being able to carry the baby to term but it is a procedure that holds out hope to lots of women whose diagnosis is more advanced than yours.

2.  I'm using nutrition, exercise and vitamin supplements to help keep my immune system strong.  I've been researching things that will jump start your immune system and one thing is getting a vaccine.  Obviously you don't just run out and get a vaccine you don't need but I'm due for a tetanus and I'm going to check with my new doctor on Wednesday about getting the vaccine.  If he doesn't see a problem then I'm going to do that.  Also, I'm taking Valacore which is an herbal antiviral supplement sold especially for hpv.  I figure that it can't hurt and it might help.  I hope.

3.  I don't know about the painful biopsy followed by no periods for 5 months.  That is really shocking!  I guess your body was just really stressed!

I hope you have a doctor that understands your desire to have children and who can help you beat your hpv and preserve your fertility.  Good luck!!!

Also I forgot to mention I am 24 years old. All of my friends had children at a young age, but I always wanted to graduate college first and have a steady income before having kids. Now I am regretting not becoming pregnant sooner. I feel like I'm running out of time :(
