Sorry to hear of your plight. We are having a similar debate here about the term clearance. Is it forever?  Is it just temporary?  How does anyone really know unless they are completely celibate and then get symptoms or bad test results?

Most people with wart causing HPV don't have symptoms. So yes, it is possible for you to have the virus but not see warts.

90% of us will clear the virus in under 2 years, never to transmit it or have symptoms again.

But some people will have a reoccurrence.

Most do not.

Because HPV testing is limited, all we can do is make an educated guess.

The longer warts have been been gone, more likely the virus has been cleared.

If the warts have been gone for 6 months or longer, still having the HPV virus is highly improbable.

After your warts are gone, wait six months. If they haven't come back, your virus has probably cleared.
