WOW, I was just tested positive for HPV and it has really got me worked up, I can't sleep or eat, this STD is not treatable correct? My main concern is for my wife she is negetive so how do I protect her, she is aso pregnate and wewant to have more children so how can we have sex
under a microscope to check for the HPV to make sure its not active? I am really worried about this and it has changed things with my wife and I, I have been with her for five years could I have gotten it before meet her?
cause a type that is not wart bearing.Dr.Hook just answered a question to a mann of a similiar nature......warts go away virus clears and just doesn't pop out years later..this is likely a new infection that u haven't noticed.
yes I have genital warts, HPV, so this must be a new infection, but I have only been with my wife for the last 5 years.............! Are you saying I could not have caught this 5 years ago it has to be recently?
I had them removed, my doctor was not really helpful she did not answer all my questions.
from what i've read....genital warts can clear themselves at times....and may return....if u r saying u've only been with ur wife in the past five years they may have been there then....and were never fully taken care of......for more info/education go to the right of this post....u'll see Experts Forum-std's.....browse the archives under topic HPV warts.....Drs.Hook and Handsfield have 30 years between them of dealing with HPV and other std's.
It is hard to say where you got this virus. This does not mean your wife has been unfaithful though (it doesn't sound like this is a concern of yours, but some people jump right to that area). This infection can remain dormant for quite some time in some individuals. You may however have had symptoms at one point and never noticed. Again, there's really no point in trying to trace this infection. You can still have sex
with her for quite some time, it is HIGHLY likely she already has the infection. You can still have children, have normal sex, and have a normal life. Warts are not dangerous and very treatable and this is not the end of the world. I have heard of people putting vinegar on their genitals to check for abnormalities, but I would really just see a doctor (maybe even switch doctors if yours isn't helpful as you say). As far as putting your penis under a microscope, I've never heard of a doctor doing such a thing. When did you last have genital warts and how do you know your wife is negative? I recommend talking more in depth with your doctor, researching HPV on your own, and going through the expert archives on this site. Good luck.
