Hpv positive.

by DENISE365, Feb 22, 2009 03:04PM
Ok so I just found out im HPV positive and even though it can be taken care of I cried like crazy but anyway this us my question. I have a bunch of bumps of all sizes around my vagina area and even a few inbetween my buttcheeks. They just popped up out of nowhere. They burn at the slightest touch. I cant even shower properly because if the water touches the area it feels like its on fire. I also got tested for any stds. I was negative for them all. I dont know what to do. Does it sound like it could be genitial warts? Could it be from the yeast infection? I did leave the yeast infection untreated for a while; about 4 months because I didnt know what it was until I did go to the OBGYN a couple of weeks ago. Please help me im begging for any insight and suggestions. Ive been doing research but I cant seem to find a match. Please help. Thank you

Oh I almost forgot, ive had unprocted sex with two people within the last six months. Are these guys at risk for HPV and i dont know how to tell them or what to tell them. If they do have it can they get treated for it? Im so worried.

It does not sound like genital warts. It could be from your yeast infection. Or maybe herpes if you are absolutely convinced they are std related. Std checks do not include hsv testing. Do the bumps go away? Or do you always have them? Yes the men you slept with are more than at risk for having contracted hpv. Hpv is extremely easy to transmit. No, men are not treated for hpv infection unless they have visible warts.

Warts can burn.  They usually do not, but it is possible.  They do frequently itch so if your were scratching that area because of the itch, you could have irritated your skin.  This could cause those areas to burn.  It is possible to have an infection along with the wart outbreak, which is pry the most likely cause of the burning.  Possible yeast or bacterial infection would be the most likely cause.  And yeast infections, if left untreated, can spread to your butt and groin area.  I know a older lady who didn't realize she had a yeast infection and it spread to her legs. Uhh I couldn't imagine.  I would go back to the doctors and ask them to do a swab for vaginal infections.  You shouldn't have to suffer like you are.  No treatment is required for men unless they have visible warts.
