Husband Recently Diagnosed, Can I stay Negative?

Hello,

My husband was recently diagnosed with HPV. I'm certain it was a latent infection, but I am concerned about out future life together.

I am currently negative for this disease. We've gotten conflicting reports about it. Some doctors say it's not contagious at all if he has no warts, others say it's still very contagious. I'd like to know where I can find some reasonably fact based information.

Also, do I need to have an oral test? Is transmission orally something I should be worried about? What about any other skin to skin contact?
