I did not know i had HPV how to tell partner?

I was recently informed by my doctor that my pap last year indicated i had HPV. I was never informed of this until now that it's time for my annual check up. I had only been with one other guy before so i know who gave it to me but now I am seeing someone else. We had unprotected sex several times, only using a condom towards the end of sex. Now that I just found out I had/have HPV I do not know how to tell him. I didn't know I had it, I wish I would've been informed by my doctor but now I just do not know how to tell my boyfriend that he most likely has it as well. I got a second test done this year and will get results on Thursday, I can't sleep at night trying to think of how to tell him the truth. Maybe my results will come back good, but who knows. Please please help.
