Is a woman infectious if she tests positive for "HPV mRNA E6/E7"?

I was recently with a 23 y/o woman. We had unprotected sex on September 8th. And then again on September 17th (though this was cut short because I only then learned she has HPV 16)

She told me that she tested positive for it back in March. And then I asked her to go get another one just to be sure which strain it was because she wasnt sure. So on September 22nd she got a pap smear annd the results were given a week later.

They said that no HPV 16 or 18 RNA was detected but there was HPV mRNA E6 and E7 proteins. From biology class I remember that mRNA makes the proteins but I cannot rememebber if it is able to infect eukaryotic cells.

Could someone please let me know any more information on the chances of me having HPV from this encounter. I know that males cannot be tested but it seems like since she didnt have the RNA for HPV 16 or 18 I should be okay if E6 andE7 arent infectious.

Please let me know as I would greatly appreciate it in this stressful time.

Best,
Chris
