Is there any way to know?

How could a person ever know whether he has pearly penile papules or genital warts? I am a 21 year old uncircumsized male. About a month ago I noticed a row of small bumps just under the head of my penis. Some are white, and some are not. Naturally I freaked out. But after doing some research I came to the conclusion that they are probably pearly penile papules and not genital warts, (which was my original suspician). These bumps look alot like pearly penile papules, and not very much like the pictures of genital warts that I have seen. Anyway, I did some reseach on genital warts too, and found that there is no test for males to confirm the presence of HPV. If there is no test, how can you ever know if you have genital warts or pearly penile papules?

Your doctor can send the sample to lab for biopsy to confirm what it is... usually a dermatologist can do the visual diagnoses and can tell you if it's a wart... the wart looks different on different people as it depends on several skin conditions so you can be wrong in self diagnoses... please see a doctor for confirmation...
