Is this a skin tag or wart?

Long story short last year in April I shaved with a very dull blade and kept going over the same spots multiple times because my boyfriend at the time was coming over. Right after I attempted to shave 10,15 minutes later me and him had sex. The very next day I was feeling like I was leaking down there and I started to have an odor, what I later found out to be was discharge which I never had, I asked was he lying about me being the only person he had unprotected sex with and he said "no"but of course he could be lying. Anyway beginning of January of this year I was in the bathroom and wiped myself and felt this flappy thing near my vagina and anus and panicked and looked in the mirror and didn't know what to think. I looked up genital warts and skin tags on the net and I don't know what is which. What I had was a piece of flappy skin kind of round thing that was close to my color (dark) I got scared and didn't look or try to feel it for months but now I check weekly in the mirror (anus and vagina) and don't see it anymore and I heard skin tags don't go away but warts do. I regret everyday for having sex with my ex I haven't been to the dr. for this yet I know I should but I need some of idea of what this is. I also have PCOS and overweight I'm not sure if that's a cause. My question is can a genital skin tag go way on its own?

troubledgirl16,

I make a mistake your making right now, for almost a year, I though I had skin tags growing but the mistake I made was huge, it was HPV. At the time I had to freeze over 15 warts, its been 3 years and I am still trying to remove them. Don't make the same mistake, don't second guess anything, GO TO A DOCTOR TO GET CHECKED, BETTER BE SAFE THEN SORRY! DON"T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS I DID!
What you have might be skin tags or not, don't second guess, if they are warts, get them removed now, so healing starts right away!
