It's difficult to say for sure - with any sort of percentage anyhow. Condoms are not foolproof when it comes to HPV, they are considered to be about 70% effective. HPV is a skin virus and is transmitted through skin to skin (genital) contact. Many people mistakenly believe that is transmitted through the fluids but it's not, it is through the skin. So, HPV can be transmitted with or without the use of condoms and it can be transmitted without actual intercourse (but genital contact).
So, given the information you provided it is difficult to say, did you lay naked next to each other prior to intercourse? It is entirely possible you may have already had one or more strains of the virus prior to this if you ever had any sort of sexual contact with another before. It is important to know however that HPV is EXTREMELY common, 80% of people will have at least one active infection by the time they are 50 just most will never have any idea. Due to the fact that there are usually no symptoms, most people are transmitting it unknowingly. This girl was absolutely mistaken in not letting you know before hand that she has HPV, however having HPV does not necessarily mean that there will be an ill effect. For most, it clears and nothing comes of it. For some, it may cause (in women) cervical, vagina, vulvar dysplasia/cancer and in men penile cancer (very rare!) or it can also cause oral or anal cancer in both sexes. But it isn't common.
We actually went right into it, I know it will not effect me, I am male, but if I pass it to a woman then it increases cervical cancer right? For more insight on what happened I was given oral for a few min then had sex for about a min. Sorry for the detales just worried. Also theres no way to detect it? If there is how long should I wait to get tested?
you will not know for six months to a year sometimes but do not sweat it.......its not life threatening and if they do appear its not the end of the world even though it may seem that way at first........you will be fine
I guess my question then becomes, how bad will this effect my next partner? Will this significantly increase her odds of cervical cancer? Also I was told it goes away after a few months? If that is the case then will my next partner contract this and then eventually not be infected anymore? Sorry for the multiple questions I just dont want to hurt anyone.
Most people who get high risk HPV will not get cervical cancer. If they get regular paps, then there is even less to be concerned about.
If you were infected with HPV, it may clear before you have sex with your next partner. If she contracts HPV, it will probably clear without even being noticed.
I am assuming you are not talking about the type of HPV that causes warts. If I am right, then you really have nothing to worry about. You won't show any symptoms and will clear the virus quickly. There is no test to see if you have the virus or not.
If you have had sex before this incident, there you probably have contracted at least one strain of HPV already. If you have sex in the future, you will again risk contracting HPV. Most people get it and it does not cause any problems.

I don't think this is something to worry about.
