OUCH! Too Much or Problem????

Hi, Me & my hubby don't have sex often,we have been together for 20 years...So the other nite when we decided to he was very eager...He was rubbing my vagina pretty vigorously and he has hands that feel like sand paper from construction...I asked him to stop but I was pretty sore already....The next day I got my period and I wear pads...Well I was wearing tight pants and by the next day I was still sore on the right side of my vagina...I figured maybe chafting from the pad because it was twisted....I took a hot bath and decided to take a look and saw a little red bump where it was sore...Do you think this is a wart or anything to worry about??? Or could it be from my overzealous hubby??? I was completely fine before he started rubbing....
