Oral and genital warts, Gardasil

Hello..

I have HAD genital warts on my penis and common warts on my fingers. Both these infections have cleared (finger a year ago, penis 4 months ago). I have received 2/3 Gardasil vaccines. My girlfriend has had genital warts also, but these have also cleared. She has received 1/3 Gardasil vaccines. I have given her oral sex regularly throughout the whole period, more or less.

Now, I have an unidentified bump on my lower lip. My GP took a look at it and tells me it is "just a random thing" - which I find more or less hard to believe. I currently have an appointment with a dermatologist, but that's not for another month.

I have type 1 diabetes, but it is well regulated (and around 6.2-3 mmol/l average) - I excercise and eat healthy. I don't smoke and haven't been drinking for 10 months.

I cannot live with this **** on my lips. It was hard enough the two other places!

Here is a picture I tried to take (not easy to get in focus):

Anyone care to venture a guess what this might be, if it is not HPV? I can feel it with my tongue, but it is not really bothering me except for the psychological aspect. When I run my nail across it, it seems to be either "filling" or "emptying" (blood), which I would not believe is something warts do.

Thank you for your opinion. I'm very worried about this. I also think it would be weird for me to re-acquire the same virus I already beat (since I have been exclusively with my girl for more than 9 months) just in another place, without showing any symptoms in the original infection area.

Well. It was a long and tough battle.

First, I applied WartsNoMore from forces of nature, cleared everything in 1 week. I was so happy... one week later it came back, and this time WartsNoMore didn't do the trick. I then tried Aldara, which just ****** my dick up completely. Then I went to my doctor, and he prescribed me Wartec. I tried that, and boom, warts more or less disappeared from one day to another.

But, the whole thing took about 6 months, so I would not attribute my victory to any of the specific treatment options. I think my immune-system just finally beat it. I received the first gardasil shot very early after that.

Why get vaccinated after you say?
The virus types you may acquire are very closely related to eachother, and getting vaccinated (even after you're exposed) may motivate your immune system to beat the virus, plus it prevents you from aquiring any of the types that it protects against in the future, should you not already have them.

And if you smoke, quit, if you drink, stop :)

Hey Nick, i honestly don't think its a wart. I wouldn't worry about it bro. Just get it check out anyway but i highly doubt its a wart.

Also, if you don't mind me asking. What did you do to clear your GW? How long did it take you and how long have you had it?

Where I live, all medical care is free of charge and paid for by everyone through taxes.

But yes, maybe I will. I'm just gonna have to wait and see what the doctor says. I just hoped maybe someone here could tell me what it is before then :)

I'd suggest getting it biopsied so that you know beyond a shadow of a doubt, if you gots the money.

Sorry, I forgot to say. I would say three months ... I don't know exactly, since at first I also just figured it was some kind of damage, so I didn't think much of it :/

Hey Nick,

Congratulations on clearing the GW. Just the other day i burnt my lip accidentally while drinking some hot green tea. It kinda blistered and i got scared that it was an oral wart. What I'm trying to say is, that we tend to be more sensitive with these things since we have HPV. It kinda scares us sometimes and we constantly think of a bump as another HPV wart.

I don't think it looks like a wart but thats just my opinion. I would wait until the dermatology appt to see what he/she says. Until then just wait and see if it goes away. How long has that been there for on your lips?
