Probability of Symptoms

by ccoz50, Jul 01, 2009 07:43PM
What are the odds that if I have HPV, she will get it and have symptoms.  I am not sure I have HPV but I guess it is possible.  Most sites say that the "majority" of people do not show symptoms and clear the virus without signs and symptoms.  Is it possible that if I have genital warts, she gets it HPV and her body never gets a symptom and it does not become a problem???  What are the odds?

I don't know the odds, but most forms of HPV do not produce any symptoms. More people with the strains that cause genital warts will show warts, but not all, and some may not notice the warts. In all of these cases, the body will probably clear it within a few months/years, although sometime symptoms may not show up until a later time.

HPV is highly contagious though, so if you have, she will likely get the virus.
