Questions About Warts

by FatallyYours, Aug 13, 2009 11:02PM
I have a friend who gets warts on her hands sometimes. If we were to share a hand towel while she has a wart, am I likely to become infected? The skin on my hands gets dry pretty easily, so I don't know if that would make it more likely.

Also, if I were to get a wart on my hand and spread it to another part of my body, would the secondary site be permanently infected? In other words, could warts develop at either site in the future?

Most warts aren't transferred by sharing towels. Common warts are pretty, well, common. It isn't really something to be worried about. They usually will not infect other parts of the body, certainly not the genitals, which get warts from different strains.
