RETURNING OF WARTS

If warts go away on there own will they eventually come back? Do you need to see a doctor to get rid of the warts and virus?

I have been to the dermatologist twice. He told me I had a fungus infection. Well i still have some raised bumps down there. I was going to wait for a bit to see if they do go away but I do not want to chance them coming back. So can only a doc get rid of them? I know eventually our immune system should take over but does that mean each time we get run down they will come back? I want to put this behind me. Thanks for your help.

While warts do return for some people, for most people, once they are gone for 6 months, they stay gone for good. Only your immune system can clear the virus and prevent treated warts from coming back, but treatment is a good option for most people because it keeps warts smaller in size and fewer in numbers.

I had a colonoscopy preformed 2 wks ago.  The doctor found internal warts along the inside of my rectom.  He tried to remove 1 while doing the colonoscopy by I came awake fighting.  He said he has never seen anything as bad as this.  I had vaginal warts 31 years ago and was treated.  The warts have never shown up externally.  I go to a surgeon for consultation in 2 more wks. My family doctor seems to think the surgeon can do 3 surgeries and remove the warts in sections until the complete area around my rectom is wart free.  Has anyone heard of this.  My doctor also said he may just send me to Mayo and that really scared me.
