They are very tiny so the Nurse pract. had trouble finding em and it scared me cause I didnt want her to hit normalNormal saline flush skin or miss one or something. I'm going back in a day or two to get the others removed with TCA, but I was wondering which patient applied would be the best? and can a nurse practicioner at a local health department prescribe them?
If warts are gone for 6 months, there is a high probability that HPV has been cleared. It isn't exact, but because for HPV is limited, "probably clear, or probably uninfected" is the best any sexually active person can say.
True, I only ask about a second option because they are so tiny that it could easily be missed. I hope I'm in that half that clears it in less. I eat healthy, mostly vegetarian and am active and do not smoke any longer and only drink occasionally. I read that it's usually common for recurrences after the first treatment but less so for the second, any truth to that?
Is there another method other than acetic acid, as I just applied some and they didn't turn white, (that I could see) to be able to see them? Maybe such as a magnifying glass?
So you're saying the time frame for clearance doesn't begin after treatment? I noticed a doctor on the forums say after treatment the "countdown begins" again. Wasn't sure if he was talking about the 6 month time frame or the actual within two years part.
Ooh ok I got it. So with all this happening the countdown to clearance (meaning 2 year sor less) is still going on regardless of treatment, but it's safe measure to say your immune system caught up with it if you've gone 6 months post treatment with no warts
The time frame for clearance is an estimate. Half the people with HPV clear it in less than 8 months, most clear it within 2 years. Obviously individual results will vary.
