Risks of my partner contracting HPV having oral sex with me

I'm a 22 year old who had a pap smear this last February, and the test showed abnormal cells. My doctor scheduled me for another test in a year, however this length of time makes me anxious. I'm worried that if a man performs oral sex on me in the next year, he may contract HPV. Does this mean I have to abstain from oral sex (I'm not interested in using dental dams, so that's not an option) until the next pap smear that shows up negative?

The odds of getting oral HPV from giving oral sex to woman who has high risk genital HPV is like 5-8% since that many people are being diagnosed with it.  If you want someone to tell you there is zero risk, this isn't going to occur. All you can is inform your future partner and let him decide what to do. He should also wear a condom to reduce (to 50%) the chances of getting infected from genital sex. If you fail to disclose (and many GYNs advise women not to disclose since most sexually active men have it), it would be unfair to your next lover.
