Sex

I've been with my girlfriend for 10 years.  I never had any problems with genital warts.  The beginning of this year I visited a sex worker(brothel) and received oral sex with a condom.  She also touched my penis/scrotum and I fingered her vagina without condoms.  This summer I was told by 2 doctors that I had genital warts and the outbreak was at the base of my penis and pubic area.  I'm trying to figure out how I got genital warts.  Was it from my visit with the sex worker?

Another thing. The blood from the wart wont spread the virus but the virus could be spread by shaving. I would just look before you shave. lol

The blood from the wart doesn't spread the virus. But if you're still having intercourse it will probably make it easier for your partner to get it. The hair acts as a barrier between you and and the other. Dr. Scholls wart freezing kit is not meant for genital warts. Just a reminder. But it is made of EXACTLY the same stuff as what the doctor uses. The doctor just uses more of it. So you will have to use more of dr. scholls.
If you're not having sex ya in my mind it would be ok to shave. It may make it easier to see where the warts are.
And np man. There are  A LOT of us in this mess and none of us deserve to stay in it.
Peace

Thank you very much for the tip I'll definitely check out Dr. scholls brand for I don't have insurance.  I use to shave my pubic area, but now I'm afraid.  If I don't see any warts do you think it's okay to go back shaving?  I use to "nick" the wart so does the blood from the wart spread the virus?

I'm dealing with this at the moment. I can help. In the month of condensed anxiety that I've had over this, I've done a lot of reading and have tried many different treatments. I'm seeing quite a bright light at the end of the tunnel though. All the warts i have are treated, and the cryotherapy scars, the white pigmentation, returns to normal over  time. Good news for me.
I would go get them taken care of by a doctor though. Have the doc treat them all then put it out of your mind. Keep your immune system strong. Just stay healthy. Workout. Eat right. All of this can't hurt. But if you don't have health insurance, you may have to go a different route.
Dr. Scholls wart freezing kits work, but you REALLY have to take it one wart at a time. Freeze each wart 3 times. Hold the tip on each wart for 45 seconds. There are typically 7 tips per box. So, you can effectively treat a grand total of two warts per box. Not a very cost efficient way of doing it.
But, with no health insurance, what can you do? with health ins. i pay a copay of $40. Each box is like $12 down here. That's like what 5 warts?

A very important thing that you do is let the skin thaw before you treat it the 2nd and the 3rd time. If the skin is already frozen by the time you do it a 2nd and a 3rd time, it's not nearly as effective. I learned this from my doc.

Apple cider vinegar is said to work, but if you're like me you don't want to wait to make them disappear. Apple cider vinegar is great for revealing where there is a wart and where there isn't, tho. The wart will turn white and get much bigger. Puffy, even.

Best of luck to you bro. This will pass soon.

Thank you for the response, very much appreciated.  I noticed tiny small bumps and recently 2 flat bumps on the "shaft" of my penis.  Does GW spread this way?  I've been now self treating these bumps.  I've been also taking extra vitamins.  Any tips on fighting this virus?

The place of outbreak where you say it is, is assosiated largly with people who contracted the virus when they used a condom. This could be from a number of things:

I highly doubt it is from the sex worker if she just performed oral sex with a condom.

It could be GW that have been dormant for years and has no appeared, this happens but is very rare

Maybe your girlfriend contracted it years ago and has given it to you or like yourself has maybe cheated in your relationship.

The last one is not the nicest one but im just laying out the possibilities.
