Swollen throat, mucus, voice changed… HPV??

About 3 months ago I engaged in oral sex with another boy (I am not gay, but every now and then I play around with this boy, so it doesn't happen very often at all maybe once a year).  No semen ever entered my mouth.  A few days later I got really sick, sore throat, fever, and eventually lost my voice for a few days.  When I recovered, my voice sounded different.. not hoarse per say, but just different, and was noticed by a few others.

Ever since then, I could feel that my voice has not recovered.  While my nose is not that stuffed or runny, there is always mucus present.  It has gotten harder to swallow, and I can't drink liquids as fast as I used to.  I can easily tell that my left part of my throat (larynx?) is completely swollen (but it doesn't hurt).  Lastly, people have pointed out that I have become a heavy snorer (I'm assuming due to the swollen throat as I am extremely thin) and my mouth is extremely dry when I wake up.

I do not smoke anything, or drink.  Is there a good chance that this is HPV?  If so what percentage chance? Thanks.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Oral sex carries a high risk of transmission of HPV. It could be laryngitis, phyrangitis or tonsillitis and needs to be evaluated clinically. Meanwhile get a throat swab and sputum cultures done to find out the causative organism – bacteria, so that an appropriate antibiotic can be started. Rinse the mouth with luke warm water with anti septic solution added in it and have vitamin C supplements along with decongestants, mucolites and NSAIDS {non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs}.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Low percentage. Go see an Ear, Nose and Throat doctor asap.  Don't waste time with an oral surgeon unless you see a wart. Get medical attention.
