I was reading about HPV today on the internet, I have to stop because it is freaking me out. Here are the question that I walked away with that I though already knew the answer but this article said different.
1) Warts and anal warts if left untreated would leadLead poisoning to cancer in males. I thought warts were the low risk and did not develop into cancer. Anyone know for sure?
2) Warts if not treated will not go away. I thought treatment did not the virus that when the virus cleared the system the warts would then go away that treatment just eased your mind and if the virus was stil active the warts would probably come back until the virus cleared. Anyone know?
3) You should tell future partners about your warts because they could come back 10 years down the road. I thought once they were gone it was RARE for them to come back.
The fact I obtained warts does that mean my immune system is faulty? I know when I noticed the warts I was very run down and was working long hours but that is normalNormal saline flush for me. Will they come back often if I work alot and am under stress?
Just when I feel a bit better about the situation I read something and get all freaked out again. Thanks for your help.
Don't believe everything on the internet. There is a lot of dated information about HPV out there, and a lot of wrong information as well. For the best information, look at medhelp's expert forum, cdc, and ashastd.
1) The strainsStrains of HPV that cause warts to not cause cancer. Having a strainStrains that causes warts does not mean you can't also have a high risk strainStrains .
2)HPV goes away without treatment, but treatment is often advised.\
3)It is rare for the warts to come back. Whether you think the risk is enough to warrant disclosure is something you have to decide.
How do you get to medhelp's expert page.? I did read the others and it very comforting that they are saying that it is possible the virus could leave the body totaly. I hope it does. I have been taking a bunch of vitamins as well as eating better. I hope I can kick it soon. One of my concerns is that it will come back many years down the road when I am old and if I get sick with a disease like cancer. It is frustrating that there is no test for men to tell you if it is gone or still active in the body.
The fact I obtained warts should I be concerned that I have a problem with my immune system that they could not fight of the virus before warts appeared?
