WARTS ARE CONTROLLING MY LIFE

by concernedmale001, Jul 13, 2009 08:46AM
In May, I noticed a hemmoroid and what appeared to be a wart attached. If it was not for the hemmroid pain I would have never of noticed the warts. Since then, it seems that more warts have appeared and some have gotten bigger. I hear this may go on for up to six months. Does anyone know if that is true?

Also, if you have the warts burned off or frozen off that does not kill the virus so the warts may come back if not done growing. Is that true ?

If you leave the warts alone when they are gone the immune system has cleared the virus. Is that true or will some warts be too big to be cleared in this fasion anyone know?

These warts are controlling my life. I can not pass by a mirror with out looking at them, I am depressed, can not concentrate on anything. I am taking vitamins etc but am afraid my life has changed for ever.

If it is a wart it may go on for longer. The median time for infection is 8 months.

Treatment often speeds recovery time, but many people have reoccurances.

I don't think it has much to do with the size of the wart, but more your immune system's response. With or without treatment, most people will clear the virus within a few months or years. Treatment should keep the size and number of warts down, and may speed recovery time.

What did the dermatologist have to say about your suspected warts? If he or she does not think you have HPV, you probably do not.

Sorry, I see that you are going to the doctor this week. Until then, try to relax!

Alex,

Thanks for your reponse and good info once again. I did goto the dermatologist actually went a 2nd time. He said it was a fungus infection.  He said the ares was inflamed and infected. He gave me cream to clear it up. When I went back, he said it was mostly cleared but not 100%. He said I did not have warts but he did NOT spend a lot of time or use a  magnifying glass or anything like that. I said so all the bumps belong there he said yes. Well, I did not point them out to him as i should have. But when I look I see one large bump and several other small bumps that I think are warts. Some are actually starting to clear up / get smaller after couple of weeks but not gone. So as you can tell I am very confused. I cannot get this out of my mind.

Please try to get it out of your mind. A dermatologist would be able to recognize warts, so trust his diagnosis.

Alex,

You are right. I am going to TRY to live my life. I am not sure what the bumps are but before I do any damage to myself trying to play doctor I am just going to continue to eat better, get as much rest as possible and exercise. I go back to the dermatologist in December. If they are still there, I will have him look again. If they are not there i will just go on with life. NOW, EASIER SAID THEN DONE. But that is my plan.

Thanks Again for your support and knowledge.
