Wart or not?

I had a bump 1 to 1 in a half inches above my penis closer to the left side of my thigh and went to see a doctor in Saudi Arabia where I work and he removed it by cutting it out.  I don't remember what it exactly looked like but they were not cauliflower or pink.  I asked him if it was a wart or contagious and he said no but was not very descriptive and told me not to worry.  The bump has not come back and everything is normal since the removal about 9-10 months ago.  Can this be genital wart even though it was not on the penis or scrotum?  Could it be something other than a wart or a common wart?  What should I do and should I be worried?  Thanks!

Genital warts are hardly ever on the thigh. If you don't think it looked warty, and the doctor didn't think it was a wart, there is no need to worry.
