Warts outside condom reach

Warts outside condom reach

I've have genital warts for a year now. I recently started a new relationship but we haven't had sex yet because my partner is afraid of getting genital warts as well. My warts are located just outside the condom coverage region (the base of the penis) and I am afraid of infecting my partner because the condom won't cover the warts. What suggestions do you have if I do want to have sex with my girlfriend and at the same time avoid infecting her? Maybe cover the the warts with something? thanks in advance for your answers

That's one downside about this virus..it's skin to skin contact..so while you may where a condom, any exposed warts that you may have raises your chances of spreading them.  the virus enters the skin through microabrasions.  Your best bet is to have the warts removed if they do not seem to be going away on their own.  I would refrain from any sexual contact until the warts are removed.  It also would probably give your girlfriend piece of mind to have a doctor visually inspect the genital area after removal to ensure that you don't have any small warts that you may not see yourself.  Good luck!
