I was recently diagnosed with high- risk hpv. and i feel awful at times. last week i just went in to get my colposcopy and i am waiting for my doc to call me back with the results. my problem is , i have been in a relationship with 1 partner for 6 years ( my 1st) and love him soo much, i was not his first. ive had paps
with eachother. my bf is a very clean guy, he always got test for std in the past and he recently had one in fed of 09. i dont know how to tell him, he may assume that i cheated on him since he just got a std test. I scared i dont know what to do???? I just cry and cry. i know i shouldnt because being sad
weakens your immune- system. i dont know??? i have no one to talk to... i just told my mom... she told not to worry ( i just graduated and got a new job in my field) i cant even be happy.. my says i need to calm down and just worry about my future.. how do i tell him????? i am not mad at him/// i have read hpv about on different sites// it seems to be very common
ALSO.. HOW DOES A MAN KNOW IF HE HAS HIGH RISK HPV IF THERE ARE NO TEST FOR IT????? THIS SEEMS AS IF IT WILL BREAK UP ALOT OF RELATIONSHIPS, HOW CAN YOU TELL YOUR PARTNER THAT YOU HAVE HIGH RISK HPV WITHOUT THEM THINKING YOU ARE CHEATING, ESP. IF THEY DIDNT KNOW THAT HAD IT AND IF THERE IS NOT A TEST TO SEE IF THEY HAVE IT. ??????????
A diagnosis of HPV does not mean that a partner has cheated. Sometimes this will show up long after exposure.
It is likely that your boyfriend has or has had this strain of the virus. (High risk HPV does not cause warts). There is no test for him, but it won't harm in and within a few months, both of you should clear the virus.
I HAVE READ THAT, BUT IF WE HAVE BEENIN A RELATIONSHIP FOR 6 YEARS THAT MEANS HE DID NOT CLEAR IT, IT JUSTCAME UP WHEN WE STOPPED HAVING SEX.. I FEAR MORE LOSING HIM THAN ANYTHING,, THIS IS HARD TO EXPLAIN.. I HAVE NOT TOLD HIM THAT I HAVE IT YET... AGAIN ITS HARD FOR SOMEONE NOT TO THNK PARTNER HAS CHEATED F THERE IS NOT TEST TO SHOW THAT THEY ALSO HAVE IT
