anal warts in my straight partner

my boyfriend has recently been to his doctors with small lumps on his anus. the doctor suggested they were anal warts. the doctor also mentioned that the only way of contracting them is through anal sex but my boyfriend doesnt and has never had anal sex is there other ways of catching them? also he is accusing me of having them but i dont have any symptoms could i still have the infection? and is there a chance i have already caught them through straight sex? please could you give me some answers????

Plenty of people infected with low risk HPV (genital warts) get anal warts without engaging in anal sex.  If he does indeed have HPV and you're having regular sexual contact, chances are you're infected too.  Some people take many months to show symptoms and others won't ever show symptoms.  Because of this it's hard to trace the infection, and you both shouldn't worry about who gave it to who first.  He could've infected you or you could've infected him, either way, it doesn't really matter.  HPV infection does not always indicate infidelity in a monogamous relationship.  Personally, I would see a doctor for a pelvic exam and explain the situation to him.
