tests i can’t have cervicitis/pid. i did have low grade changes in my pap smear last year (then a colposcopy). could hpv cause these issues? if so, how do i manage issues caused by incurable visuses? i don’t know what to do.
i’m scared about the ramifications of going untreated. i’ve been given insertable bacterial cream to treat my infected cervix. i’m just not feeling better and it is interfering with my life.
i can tell i still have the infection. i don’t know what to do when the docs tell me they’re not sure what to do.
Yes HPV can be a factor for the why you have cervicitis. When you have been on meds and it is not helping and your cervicitis has been present a long time you may requirer other treatments:
•Cryosurgery (freezing)
•Electrocauterization
•Laser therapy
Even though HPV could be part of why you have this that doesn't mean it is the reason you continue to have it. Cervicitis may last for months to years. You have an inflammation that needs to be treated.
Make sure you see a doc you has experience with this and can treat you.
