can you have sex or not with high risk hpv?

have had hpv for a year now.high risk. i have been to the doctor, had a colonospy about six months ago,and she told me to come back in october 2009. there has been so many different sayings about what you can and cannot do when you have hpv.i have heard professionals tell me i can have sex with a condom! i want to hear what you think about it.
