this comming from a guy, but i was freaked out too, to learn i had genetal warts... i had good sucess with aldara but a couple weeks after i cleared a few new small warts would come up around my inner thigs and pubicPubic lice bone... i began to read all i could about HPV and viral infections in general be it herpis (herpes), cold, fluAmniocentesis Atrial fibrillation/flutter Cerebral spinal fluid (csf) collection Culture - joint fluid Fluorescein angiography Flushable reagent stool blood test Fta-abs Gastroesophageal reflux disease Gastroesophageal reflux in infants Haemophilus influenza organism Hiatal hernia repair etc... my final conclusion after reading about all this was i needed to do everything possible to boost my natural imune system... first i quit using tobacco, and using alcohol... i then cleaned up my diet, and started using zinc, vitiman c, and a good multi-vitiman... i have noticed now i have only had two small outbreaks in the past several months, and when i do get a few warts usually withing 1-2 days later the center gets a black spot and within 4-5 days after it comes up it is gone... im not against modern medicine but i think alot of thigns can be take care of yourself if you try and live generally healthy, and clean...
I had got hpv couple years ago, and tried burning warts off with acid from dr. but it didn't work, they kept coming back. Then i went to a womans health clinic and got aldara. I put it on warts on my vagina, but then i experienced burn looking marks all over vagina, and it was black and blue, and on top of that i got Urinary track infection (UTI) it was my worst nightmare! So I took antibiotics for uti, then at the same time the warts diminished, and i healed from all that went wrong. So I'm not really sure what went wrong, maybe i rubbed the aldara wrong on me? I got a serious allergic reaction?I did read that if you rub aldara wrong on vagina it could prevent urine from passing. But at least my warts went away. Now years later, i've discovered some warts on my upper thigh butt area, and contimplating whether or not to use the left over aldara cream? I'm a little concerned about using that aldara cream!
I would ultimately suggest you go to the nearest womans clinic, or if that's not available, see your physician. In the beginning I spent 100's of dollars on the acid burning procedure, and it didn't work. Then the cream was the next best thing, but if tha's not working, maybe freezing it?

Well thank you all for the support. I am going to an std clinic doctor this Tuesday. I hope I can get some help there. I have been trying just about everything to keep my head on straight. Now I have been introduced to this guy and I think we are a good match but cannot have sex with him any suggestions on what and when I should say anything. Or should I just not bother even getting into a relationship?
I found out that I had hpv after i was with a new bf, and when i found out, we didn't have sex for awhile, but then we would want it, so he would put a condom on. And now we are married, but it was hard in the beginning, he was having thoughts of maybe moving on but he really liked me, and we wanted to stay together and he hasn't had any problems with warts. So if you think it's getting serious he needs to know, and if he really cares for you, then he will understand and be easy going, if not then he's not right for you. The doc does say no sex while warts are visible, because of the possibility of spreading. Treat the warts till they go away, then tell him about hpv, then tell him ur ok and don't have warts anymore, then sex?
Get to your nearest free clinic. If you are in the states, I recommend Planned Parenthood- there are a lot in various different locations. If you don't have insurance, this will not be a problem at places such as PP. Though I do practice holistic medicine, there is no substitute to modern medicine in my opinion. There are many different treatments than Aldara- from freezing to TCA acid to surgery and beyond. A health care worker will explain your different options to you- just ask lots of questions and be proactive in your care. Good luck.
