clearance of hpv

Are there any more definitive answers as to when a person can have sex after warts have been treated?

Hi,

You can have sex whenever, but you should really consider using protection (condoms) always and from now on when it comes to any type of sex. Just because the warts are gone, doesn't mean you can't spread HPV.  When you use a condom, your partner is almost 70% less likely to get HPV from you, but the thing is the condom only covers so much ~ and remember, it is spread by direct contact... HPV is considered the most common STD now, and that is because it is so hard to detect and people who have it spread it unknowingly most usually.  Now, it is believed to be passed by 'deep kissing' ( hpv oral) possibly, so really it's almost impossible not to get if you are sexually active or otherwise, but you should still be very careful w/ future partners...
