"clearing" HPV - total crap

Don't let the "your body clears the HPV virus after a few years" crap suck you in. 20 years since last GW outbreak, faithful partners in a twenty year relationship and now an outbreak. Anyone with HPV should tell any and all potential partners they have had an STD of any sort and let them decide their own fate.

It is also important to remember that just about everybody who has had several sexual partners over a lifetime has been infected with one or more strain of HPV, most clearing the virus without any symptoms or diagnosis. While I believe it is important to be honest with your partners, people should assume that if their partner has been sexually active in the past, then they almost certainly have been infected with HPV. Unfortunately, it is an unavoidable consequence of sexual relationships (outside of life-long mutual monogamy).
