genital wart contact

Hi there, about 4 to 5 years ago I found that I had several warts on the shaft of my penis. They were removed by freezing. Since then they reappeared once a few weeks after the removal, they were removed again, and have since been gone. At this point I was under the impression that the risk of transmission was very low, and I had unprotected sex with a new partner about a week and a half ago. Directly following the encounter I noticed a wart near her genitals that she had not noticed before. My question is, since I previously had warts, is it likely that I will show no symptoms and be unlikely to infect partners I could have in the future? I know that there are two kinds of HPV that can produce warts, so would it be possible that I would now be infected with the other strain and I should be on the lookout for warts and warn future partners?
