it's probably everything you need to know about having genital warts.

HPV is treatable and once you are wart-free for more than 6-8 months, you can consider yourself to be "cured", by above definition (in that link)

i would advise you to get your wart treated and refrain yourself in having sex with him UNTIL you have been wart-free for more than 6 months, just to be sure. If you love him and he loves you, he shouldnt get worried about your situation. Also i wonder if you cheated on him? If you never cheated on him and you have been with him for a year or so, most likely it's him who infected you and gave you that genital wart. Some people (like 30-40%) have asymptomatic infection, means they have the virus, they can pass the virus, but never show any symptom. Some people even believe the number is way beyond 30-40%. Who knows your boyfriend had the virus already but he simply one of these people (who never got any genital wart). Im not saying you or your boyfriend cheated, but either way HPV is not something you have to worry way too much.

If you guys already had unprotected sex then chances are hes already infected. Most males are symptomatic and do not show symptoms.

Like lightning said, if he loves you he will understand. This is obviously something you should talk to him about if you want to pursue a long term relationship. If you guys have not yet had sex then let him make the choice whether or not he still wants to be with you. Or just wait and not have sex and see how the relationship goes until you are comfortable opening up to him about this.
