genital warts?

I am female have had sex only 3 times in 2016, I found a very small little lump on the outer part of my vagina I think it was months back now..just one I thought was a little mole.. it never hurt never grew or anything so I mever took any notice. Recently I went at it a bit to see what it was and it got painful and a bit more pronounced so I left it alone. It went back to normal, it has no colour is soft and no particular shape at all. Could this be genital warts? Just one for all these months that hasnt realy changed..its like a little skintag. I will admit im overly paranoid about stds and am always rushing into the gum clinic with some new symptom, I think they are quite sick of me by now. I have a new partner that I want to be intimate with quite soon, am I rightto be paranoid? Could anyone with genital warts help me out? Thankyou
