high risk HPV 16 in male - Bowendoid Papulosis - TREATMENT

I have been dealing with HPV for over 6 months now. After stupidly trying to treat it myself for a couple of months, I finally went to a dermatologist and was prescribed Aldara topical cream to treat them.  My lesions are different from the typical HPV warts in that they take the form of red/purplish papules that form mosaic patterns.  This is caused by HPV type 16 - a high risk form.  The lesions are classified as bowenoid papulosis - a rare form of HPV that is pre-cancerous -- however, in almost all cases it stays benign.  I am not worried as much about the low-risk of cancer (2%) as I am about the treatment taking effect.

I have been using Aldara for almost 5 weeks now and I'm still reserving judgment on whether there is any significant progress. To say the least though, progress is slow.

So, my question is for those males out there that might have had bowenoid papulosis/HPV type 16, did anyone see success from using Aldara?  I would really like to give it the full 12 weeks of treatment before considering other options (Condolyx, Trichlororacetic acid, Cryo, etc).

I would truly appreciate any feedback.

Thanks,
Brian

don't mess with creams.
get them zapped with laser treament or liquid nitrogen.  if yr immune system is good you will have far less chance of them recurring.  plus it takes like 5 minutes to get it done and you don't have to look at them anymore.  oh, and when you get checked by a doctor make sure he checks yr anal area, even if you aren't having anal intercourse.  hpv spreads super easily without you realizing it.  it is a bummer to think you are done with yr genital warts only to have them discovered around back... truly an uncomfortable pain in the rear to have to treat hpv in that area.
