hpv high risk for cervical cancer

I just had a pap done and the doctor told me I have HPV and that I'm high risk fr cervical cancer. This was the last thing I wanted to hear and I'm stressed out. Not only do I have a uti infection now I have to take even more pills than I already have too. I'm praying I don't have anything wrong with me and this is all a mistake I need advice on dealing with this I'm so sad I thought being pregnant I should be happy but then I get this news and I'm just so depressed.

This doesn't really change anything in your life you keep on living and just make sure you get your scheduled pap's and about your boyfriend he should understand.  There is no way to test in men so there is no way to know if he pass on to you or if you got it from a previous sexual partner. You guys both have to be adults about and just deal with the situation as long as you ate open and honest there shouldn't be an issue and if you still feel uncomfortable about it do your research ask you doctor questions until you are satisfied

It unfortunately never goes away. But you can live with it forever and have problems what so ever. It's just something you want to keep an eye on.

She did not say she found any abnormal cyst or tumors but she is referring me to a specialist to get checked out and she prescribed me some antibiotics. I would have never thought this would happen to me I always get my regular pap done and this was a shock to me. HPV doesn't go away ? Do I have to live with this virus forever?

Hpv is not something that a lot of people understand so it's scary. But if they did not find any abnormal cysts or tumors during you pap then do not be worried. You just have t make sure you get your yearly paps done so if something does pop up they can take care of it early. Really nothing to panic about and I'm speaking from experience I found at I had HPV 3 years ago and I'm currently 16 weeks pregnant and have not had one single problem
