smear that came back back as "milidly irregular." She had an hpv test of the smear and then another hpv test along with std tests (not sure whether it was a blood test or something else?). Both the hpv tests and the std test came back negative. I was just wondering if the 2 hpv tests she received likely tested for strains
to genital warts). Is 6 and 11 considered to be in the high risk category? I know it does not cause cervical cancer but apparently can cause cancer of the vulva
and I am not clear as to whether if there is you would specifically have to request it? From my perspective, I am just curious as I want to know if there is risk of genital warts if the hpv tests can back negative. I will inquire soon what they tested for but in the meantime was curious what gynecologists would typically test fro if two tests had been given. ONly cancer causing hpv to the cervix? or some of the low risk strains
