hpv

I was diagnose with hpv and I recently lost my job and I have no medical insurance and I like my gynecologist but there is no way I could afford to pay out of pocket... what i need to know is what are my options. do i just live with hpv hope it goes away.... do i go to clinic and go through the embarrassment all over again.... i dont know what to do...help

Well, first of all, approach you gyne and be honest about your financial situation.  Many doctors will slide their scale just for you on a case by case basis.  That's what happened to me and the dermatologist I went to.  

Second, what type of HPV do you have, high or low-risk?  If you have warts, then any old dermatologist could treat you.  If you have high-risk, the answer hinges more on what the test results were and to what degree you've got HPV going on down there.  

I fully understand your phrase about the embarrassment issue.  But you must suck it up and forget about it.  It's a construct of your own view on the subject and also probably hoisting up your privates for inspection.  It's all good to just go through with it because it's in the name of medical need and simply a doctor's visit really except you plunk out your vagina.  :)
