internal genital warts

i have been diagnosed with hpv a couple months ago and i just noticed about a month ago that anal genital warts were appearing.  i know there are internal warts also and am wondering what should be done about them and is it painfull.  i have been prescribed aldara to treat the external ones but does that deal with the internal ones????

Internal warts are usually removed with laser surgery, excision with anesthesia, or cryotherapy (frozen off). You cannot use Aldara on the internal ones. I do not believe that they are painful, either internally or externally but I am not sure. It is recommeded they are removed before they cause complications or become larger.
