just been told i have hpv help

hi there. im 22 years old and just been told i have hpv.I am very worried and dont know what to think about the whole situation and have alot of questions to ask. so if anyone can help me it would be much appreciated.

ok well they said to me i have abnormal cells and tommrow im going for a cervix swab and also waiting for a appointment at the hospital for a test which involved a microscope. im guessing this is to decide how bad the hpv virus is.

Also ive been with my partner for 7 years on and off and we recently split for 3 months and he slept with another girl, i then slept with him and then 5 days later i had my pap smear done and come back with these results could it have been my partner who gave it to me as it was so early? Also im wondering whether we can still have sex unprotected as ive looked on many websites which say that once you have it you cant keep passing it back to eachother my partner is refusing to sleep with me at the moment as he doesn't realli understand whats going on and feels that this will be cleared up with anti-biotics. Which i have told him is not the case we are always going to have the virus am i correct?

I have a 2 year old little girl and i am wanting to have more babys in the near future, will i pass it on to the baby, will there be problems me getting pregnant? Ive also read on the internet even if we used protection i can still get it through skin to skin contact? iv also read that it takes up to 2 years to get out of your system depending on what virus u have does this mean i wont be able to have sex with my partner for the next 2 years.

I know theres so many questions im just so confused and the questions ive asked i cann't find anywhere on the internet if you can help me then great xx

hi,yeah i know exsactly what you are going through i was the same when i got told i was so shocked i didnt know what to say, iv got appointment today to speak with a nurse and have a cervix test done so im going to ask some questions today... well iv been with my partner 7years on and off and iv just got back with him after a 3 month split and thats how i got this hpv as he slept with someone else.so just dealing with the fact hes slept with someone else iv now got to deal with this hpv virus..its not nice and i dont think he realli understands whats going on. feel free to talk to me at any time. im going to ask the doctor if there is any anti biotics i can take for my pain when passing urine as im in terriable pain and also feeling sick and pain in my stomach etc. and also want to know if me and my partner want to try for a baby obviously we are not going to use anything so therefore is it going to make me worse. ive done so much reserach since i found out last friday and alot says not to have sex untill i know what strain of hpv i have. i dont actually know this yet untill all my test results come back which im thinking wont be untill next week somtime. but to be honest im thinking the worst as i havent got any warts and they say people with warts are low risk, and people without the warts are high risk. so im preparing my self for the worst. im only 22 and feels like my life is ruined!!!

I just found out I have HPV as well, and I have the same problems as you do. I have so many questions and the doctor that told me didnt answer anything. She just said "Do you have any questions" and I was so shocked I couldnt even speak let alone think. I'm wondering if any one has any coping techniques, thoughts, or something that can benefit the newly infected who feel as if life has stopped. It is all I can think about. I also have some cramping, abdominal pain, very sick feeling. I trully believe that it is a mental symptom of finding out you have this virus. Everything I read says it shouldnt hurt. But I feel like I am going to throw up all day every day since I found out a week ago, but only when I am reminded of or think of the past week's events. I have an appointment this Friday to find out my treatment options. Do you know if yours is high risk or low risk? I need someone to talk to that knows what I am going through, with a similar situation...I have done extensive research in the past week, what sort of questions do you have? Pregnancy is not affected by this is nearly all cases, *very* rarely a child can get it in the throat canal during birth.

Know that ALOT of abnormal cell changes in the cervix can and usually go back to normal on their own. You should be taking a multi w/ folic acid, drink LOTS of green tea, eat healthy(dark leafy greens/fruits), no smoking/drinking. As far as kids..you'll be fine, just let your gyn know that you've had HPV so they can watch your health. You won't pass it to your daughter..practice good hygiene..and as for oral I would refrain from getting oral if you know that you've got an active virus..

yes you are correct you will always have HPV but it cna "clear up" on its own... most people get it in a "cleared up "state..... yes they are going to determine how bad the HPV is mild, moderate, or severe case.... they are going to do a colposcopy, they use a camera to get a better look at your cervix.... they will then put some vinager on a q tip and swab your cervix opening, the vinegar makes the cells turn white and also makes it easier for them to see the abnormal cells.... they might want to do a biopsy, they will just snip a little piece of the affected area and send it to the lab, this will give you slight cramps, kinda like your period, and they will put  a medicine on your cervix to make the bleeding stop, dont worry if you see some brown, reddish stuff for a a few day after.

you need to explain to your partner that he is most likely the carrier of the HPV, they have no test for men unless they show signs of visible warts. they are so many different strands of HPV , about 100..... if you want more childern , go ahead will have no effects of the baby...your childern will be perfectly healthy!...... after you go for the colposcopy make sure you follow difection the dr tells you. they will want to watch you every3,6 or 9 months after to recheck the abnormal cells......dont worry....have any question just message me!
