laser ablation surgery for CIN II

I recently had a colposcopy examination with biopsy that showed HSIL and i am scheduled to go into surgery for laser ablation of the abnormal cell areas..i had blood work done yesterday and the surgery i have scheduled for this wednesday is laser ablation but my doc gave me pamplets for cone biopsy. I only signed consent for laser ablation because thats what the hospital says i am having done. If my doctor does cone biopsy is that not malpractice since i had no prior knowledge and did not consent to this procedure. I am only nineteen i really don't want to do either of the surgeries....any advice would be useful
