My 2 year old grandchild has been diagnosed with HPV but does not appear, to the medical experts, to have been sexually molested. Her paternal aunt has the virus and has provided care for her such as diapering, bathing her, etc. She is under care and the doctors says she is not contagious, but advise us to glove while diapering her, cover any cuts
, thoroughly and often. I was planning on taking her for a visit to the home of her 4 year old cousin, but my daughter does not want to tell anyone in the family
Did the medical experts not explore other options as to how your grandchild got the virus? This is a very unusual case. Did your grandchild's mother have visible hpv when she gave birth? Although it's unlikely, the child could of gotten it then.
Just make sure the cousin is not exposed to the site of infection. HPV is generally transmitted through genital to genital contact so there should be no complications and they both should be fine
