. last week i had a biopsy done from the labia which is positive for hpv. my dr. thinks i have the kind that causes warts but i dont have warts, for over 6 months ive had 'tears in my labia' over all discomfort and pain. im worried this is the hpv linked to cancer bc ive never read/heard of hpv causing this in people that have the wart strains
. aside from being a complete emotional wreck that my life as i know it at 21 is botched, i really want to help treat and avoid anything cancerous i can. how can i know what kind of hpv i can and can i have the cancerous kind not intravaginally? (i still have negative paps
Sorry to read your post about what you are going through. It sounds to me (a layman) that you have VIN. If this is caused by 'low risk' or wart-type HPV, the chances of it becoming cancer are low. You should ask your doctor which strain
