oral hpv and gw

I was recently to the er for some bumps on my groin. I thought it was an allergic reaction but it turned out to be gw. I was referred to a dermatologist but his office will not accept me because I am uninsured until next year.my problem is this. I now have a small brown dot on my lower lip that I am concerned may be oral hpv. The bigger concern is my girlfriend is 7 months pregnant. (Yes I cheated on her for those of you looking to cast judgement and I feel I disirve an STD) she has had the guardisil vacation but I am still scared reading up on rrp. She is aware of my actions and my diagnosis and has informed her obgyn.. he told her unless there is a visible wart not to worry.. I guess my question is how likely is it that I have oral warts and far more importantly how likely is th that my child will have rrp... I should pay for my actions. Not my baby

No one here is to cast judgement on you, thats not our job. Were all human and make mistakes that doesnt make you any less of a human then anyone else on this planet. I would also like to say that this is a forum with volunteers to help out any questions related to HPV, and we are not medically licensed to give you a proper diagnosis.

I will give you my opinion from what i know. RRP is very rare! The doctor was right, if there are no warts present in the mother then you do not need to worry about any RRP infections. Most doctors use cryotherapy (freezing) on the warts in pregnant women, which is shown to be safe and effective.

You say that your GF is 7 months pregnant, the immune system usually drops or lowers during this time and overt warts would have shown by now on her.

As for yourself, it is definitely best to get your warts checked out by a specialist because not every general practitioner can properly diagnose you with warts. He/She can also confuse it with other things. So definitley get yourself checked out by a dermatologist, if youre not insured and can spend some money, then try and get yourself checked so you can get a for sure answer.

As for your baby, do not worry. The chances of RRP are very rare and i chances are even lower since your GF does not have any warts that are showing. The doctor will keep this in check and should let you know if there is  reason to do a c-sec for the delivery of the baby,
