Yes, but it doesn't happen as often as through intercourse. While it has been linked to oral cancers, it doesn't often cause problems.

The only practical way would be through direct contact, like oral sex.

Kissing might be a theoretical risk, but again it is hardly ever seen in practice.

Your infection will be at the exposed site. Performing oral sex means a possibility of oral hpv, but not genital hpv.

Oral sex is not an efficient way to spread HPV and oral infections are not common.

So does that mean that if I have oral warts, it is 'okay' for me to share ice cream and drinks with my girlfriend and / or family members? Or is it better for me to do it once I am cleared from my oral warts?

I'm going for liquid nitrogen treatment for my oral warts (I had it once last year then it stopped occuring, but a year later which is this week's Monday, it had a recurrence). My girlfriend and I have stopped kissing. (my girlfriend does not have HPV, only I do and I wish to keep it that way because I don't want to get her into trouble)
