pearly penile papules (PPP) vs. genital warts

Can pearly penile papules (PPP) ever appear further up on the glans/head of the penis?

I have a tiny white (round) bump about a 1/2 inch north of the base of the penis glans/head.  Online, I have examined images of genital warts and of pearly papules, this tiny, single bump seems to best resemble PPP.  It is very tiny, white, round and not cauliflower like.  The naked eye might catch it but it is easier to view it with a magnifying glass...that small.  For about 9 months, it's not changed in shape or size.

It is just kind of....there.

How can I rule out genital warts?

Dear Dr. Kaur,

Thank you for your reply to my post.  I did indeed see my doctor (GP) and he indentified it as a papilla or skin tag and not a wart.   Warts tend to be much more substansial.

The doctor added that as we get older, all sorts of bumps are going to appear on the body. This one just happens to be on the penis head. I am a bit relieved.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Diagnosis of genital warts is usually clinical, made by visual inspection. Genital warts can be confirmed by biopsy but Sometimes we can use an enhancing technique called acetowhitening. This technique involves the application of 5% acetic acid solution to the area of suspicion for about 5-10 minutes. Infected areas will turn white.

Pearly penile papules present as multiple, small (about 1-3mm) papules running around the circumference of the crown of the glans penis and does not present as a solitary bump.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
