Hi. I was diagnosed with genital warts this March 2009.  Until now, there is no evidence that my wife has contracted HPV.  No genital wart was found in her genital area.  She is pregnant.  Her OBGYN told us that c-section labor is not necessary if no warts appear.  However, how can she be so sure that there is no warts in the areas which can't be seen (example, cervix).  She told us that if there are no warts in the vaginal area then there are no warts in the cervix area.  I don't believe this.  I still think that there is a risk that my wife can have warts in her cervix which can be contracted by our baby during labor.  Any opinion on this. Thanks.  

Another more, what are the chances (maybe in percentage), assuming my wife has genital warts, that my baby will contract the virus and develop respiratoy ailment.  Thanks again.

The GYN will be able to find warts if there are any. Genital warts aren't all that rare, and many pregnant women have warts. Complications, however are quite rare, and although I don't have any numbers, I have read that c-sections are not usually recommended. Her GYN is aware of the situation, so there shouldn't be any problems.
