scared if i have hpv

hi im 37m not curcimized. i was diagnosed with genital herpes type 1 almost 3 years ago, never had a OB since .about a month ago i had protected sex with a coworker with condom but unprotected oral sex both ways. anyway a week later after that i get a small like pimple redish/pink mark slighty raised on my penis head(glans). it went away in a few days then another 2 appear on another part of my glans, this has been going on back n forth for 3 weeks. i dont have itching, burning or pain of any kind. i saw urologist and he said i had recurrance of my herpes. i feel he just said that of my past history, he prescribes overdosing me on valtrex 500 x3 for 10 days when recurrances only need 500x2 for 3 days and he told me lotrimin cream 2x a day for 5 days. i dont feel comfortable with his diagnose, does what i have sound like genital warts. i cant handle another STD im extremely nervous.

My understanding is that transmission of genital warts from mouth to penis or penis to mouth, while present, is statistically very VERY small.  The common explanation is that genital warts tend to "like" the areas around the genitals, hence their name.  Is it possible that you got genital warts from receiving unprotected oral sex?  Yes, although that chance is extremely close to zero.

Typically, HPV is transmitted from direct genital to genital contact, so yes... any part that the condom covered is generally considered safe.  Now, let me qualify that by saying that if you fingered the woman, then touched your penis, transmission is possible, but again, VERY small.  The fact that a) you wore a condom, and b) what alexdelong says... that it appears/resolves/appears/resolves, makes me almost positive that you do not have genital warts.

Genital warts, as alex said, stick around for a while, can require perpetual treatments for up to 24 months (sometimes more), and then lie dormant (i.e. you never see them again).  Having something show up then disappear in such a short time frame definitely suggests that what you're dealing with is not a genital wart.

A dermatologist is one of the best experts to see about warts, but the urologist was probably right in his diagnosis.

The part of your post that sticks out to me is you say the bumps appear then resolve then reappear/resolve. Warts do not act this way, they tend to persist for a while, then disappear permanently. Also, warts almost always appear weeks if not months after exposure. One week seems really early.

If you used a condom when you had vaginal sex with your coworker, the odds of you contracting genital warts from her on the head of your penis are slim to none.  Further, I can't be certain, but the likelihood of warts showing up in that short a time frame are also pretty slim.

Warts usually appear around the base of the penis and the groin area where condoms do not cover.  Of course, without going to the dermatologist to get checked out for sure, it's impossible to tell.  If I had to guess, though, I'd say it's very unlikely you contracted genital warts from your coworker.
