warts

by lil_chic, Sep 07, 2008 10:15AM
So I was just diagnosed with HPV, because my doctor found warts.  I had a boyfriend that now doesn't want to have anything to do with me and it really seems like there is no hope here.  Some of the things I have read tell me that I will have it for life other things say that it will go away if my immune system is working properly.  I guess I have some questions that need to be cleared up.
1.  Can it go away or does it just remain dormant?
2.  Can I still spread warts even if they are not visible and not there?
3.  If it can go away, how do I know that it did?
4.  If it is just a matter of my immune system getting rid of it what are the best ways to boost my immune system to fight it?
5.  Are there any alternative forms of therapy for this?
Thank you

Go to the Experts Forum-std's to the right of this page and read up on genital warts by Drs.Hook and Handsfield.1.Ur body can clear the virus from ur skin...get rid of warts but it goes dormant in the body-asleep state.2.u sed u have warts so yes they can be spread.....if u got them burned off or they went away the virus will still live in ur skin 6-9 months...according to the doctors and u can still pass them on2 someone else via skin contact.3.only way u know low risk hpv is gone is by warts being gone then the 6-9 mos.period after they leave they really should be gone.4.Not smoking not drinking or doing drugs eating a good diet getting proper sleep are ways to boost ur immune system. Also for a woman taking a good multi-vitamin helps.5.there are homeopathic options for treating warts....some have done so here as noted..u can also google Homeopathic remedies for genital warts and see what u find...or go to a certified nutritionist and inquire.
